Beware of the Roly Poly!

So we are bad bloggers.  There are many reasons for this, probably the most recent of which is that we have wwwwaaaaaayyyyy too many pictures to choose from when updating.  This might mean that we have a multiple day post to get them all in.  We have been thinking about updating his blog in the last few weeks, which led us on a journey back through some of his posts.  All we can say is God is amazing and has done amazing things for our little man.  Everyday we do little motions with Josh while reciting "Our God is so big and so strong and so mighty, there is nothing our God can not do."  We see proof of that everyday in his little life.

Josh is continuing to do wonderfully well.  He seems to be growing length wise as well as weight wise.  We have our 9 month check up next Tuesday, so we will be able to provide official numbers then.  But roughly, he weighs around 20lbs now and we think he is over 26.5 inches long.  He will be transitioning to 9-12 month clothes this weekend in honor of reaching his 9th month of life.

Josh is also doing very well with his milestones.  He is officially mobile!  He can not only turn himself in circles, but has started rolling to get to things.  Today he actually inched himself forward about 6 inches to get to a toy he wanted while on his tummy.  Mommy and Daddy see extensive amounts of baby proofing in our immediate future.   Josh is also able to sit on his own for extended periods of time, although Mommy or Daddy still have to help him get there.

Josh is doing well with eating.  He is eating solids twice a day and enjoys getting little nips of things from Mommy or Daddy's plates when we are eating.  He does have some problems with gagging (and throwing up sometimes too) on certain textures, so we will be asking about his at his next appointment.  We aren't too worried about it since he will eat immediately afterwards.  We are also hoping to get approval to start 3 meals a day as well as yogurt and cheese for him.

He continues on his medications for reflux, although we haven't had an episode of reflux in 3 months.  We are hoping to begin weaning this medications soon too.  Josh has his 6 month hearing test at the beginning of August and did fabulous!  He will continue to get his hearing checked every 6 months until he is 3 so they can detect any problems early on.
